Q1: Is this a BKDK party? 🐰A:Yes! All gifts — fics and art — must have Izuku and Katsuki as the main ship, or in a platonic relationship but NOT paired with anyone else.

Q2: Why is the event called Unbirthday Party? 🐭A: It’s from Lewis Caroll’s Through the Looking Glass. You only get 1 birthday a year, but there are 364 other days in the year (give or take). Seems a shame to only celebrate 1 day.

Q3: How does the event work? 🐰A: The mods will compile 2 master lists of prompts submitted by the fandom. One is a list of General Prompts, and the other of NSFW Prompts.Party guests — Writers and Artists — are invited to:
1. pick 1 prompt from either the General or NSFW list
2. Indicate if they want to collab (work with someone else on the same prompt).The party guest must create a gift — a fic or an art or both — using the prompt and submit it for posting by the deadline. There will be 2 mandatory check-ins between prompt selection and gift posting time.

Q4: Why do you call it a ‘gift’, are we giving it to another party guest? 🐭A: No, this is not an exchange event. Your gift will be for the BKDK fandom in general.

Q5: Is there a minimum word count or art requirement for the gift? 🐰A: None. As long as you are able to incorporate the prompt in your gift, as best you can.

Q6: Can people below 18 years old join? 🐭A: Sure! But you will be limited to the General Prompt List, and only SFW gifts.

Q7: Why is it called a General Prompt List and not a SFW list? 🐰A: It’s general because the prompts are not explicitly sexual, gory, or 'problematic' in nature. If you choose a prompt from the General List, you can still use it to create a gift that’s NSFW.

Q8: Can I choose more than 1 prompt? 🐭A: You can claim ONE prompt, and collab on ONE prompt at a time. You have to finish and submit your claim or collab gift before you can choose another prompt.

Q9: What if the prompt I like is already taken by another party guest? 🐰A: Prompt selection is on a First Come, First Served basis. Go pick another prompt. Or ask if they are willing to collab with you.

Q10: What do you mean by collab? 🐭A: It's short for 'collaborate'. A party guest can work with another party guest on the same prompt, IF THEY BOTH AGREE to do so.The party guest who first claimed the prompt can say 1 of 3 options:
1. Yes, they want to collab
2. No, they do not want to collab
3. Name of the person they already agreed to collab with.IMPORTANT: The mods will not intercede or facilitate collabs between party guests. You can check the prompt list for anyone interested in working together and talk to each other to see if you both agree. Remember, minors will only be allowed to work on SFW gifts.

Q11: Who can collab? 🐰A: Generally, an artist and a writer will collab with each other. But if two artists or two writers want to create a gift together, that’s also fine.

Q12: Can we collab with more than one other party guest? 🐭A: Why not? But be sure all of you are committed to finishing the gift within the deadline.

Q13: What if they are not willing to collab with me? 🐰A: Please respect their wishes. We are all content creators and, sometimes, our visions of what we want to create do not match. It’s not personal or a judgment on your skills.IMPORTANT: The mods will NOT tolerate pushy, aggressive or rude behaviors. Please remember to be kind to each other. Be polite in asking; be respectful in turning down.

Q14: If I finish my gift early, do I have to wait until the deadline to post it? 🐭A: All gifts must be posted by Jan 16. But the mods hope to have 2 earlier posting dates to spread the fun — Oct 24 and Dec 4 — if enough party guests finish their gifts early.

Q15: What if I can’t finish my gift? 🐰A: This event is voluntary and is supposed to be fun! If you cannot finish your gift, let the mods know and we’ll free up your prompt so someone else can claim it.IMPORTANT: Please do NOT ghost us, or you will risk being banned from future parties.

Q16: What are check-ins and why are they mandatory? 🐭A: Check-ins are simply a way for the mods to track how your gift is coming along.The mods will be employing a ‘NO CHASING’ policy for this event. We will send out reminder emails and discord notices but we will NOT look for you. Party guests must either:
1. Submit their check-in OR
2. Ask for an extensionIf you fail to meet a check-in, we will consider you dropped from the event and free up your prompt so it may be claimed by other party guests. You will also be penalty carded.

Q17: What is the penalty carding system? 🐰A: There are behaviors that will earn you either a yellow card or a red card. Yellow is a warning and Red means a ban from this party, as well as from joining future parties.Yellow cards:
1. pushy, aggressive or rude behavior.
2. Being late for your check-in without asking for an extension.Red cards:
1. Multiple pushy, aggressive or rude behavior incidents.
2. Ghosting the check-ins or your collab partner (disappearing and not responding to messages)Two Yellow cards mean a Red card and an automatic ban on this and future parties.

Q18: Why are there so many rules and emphasis on appropriate behaviour? 🐭A: The mods are committed to making this event a FUN experience for everyone. This can be a great way to make new fandom friends. We don’t want to dampen anyone’s spirits. But some party guests will be dealing with each other without the mods there to mediate; politeness and courtesy is A MUST.

How to Join the Party 🎩

  1. Fill out the joining form, and you'll be given access to the discord server and claims form;

  2. Claim a prompt

  3. Indicate if you want to collab with another party guest or not;

  4. Submit your gift 🐭.

You can also collab with someone who claimed a prompt you like.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT put your name on the collab column without first asking the claimant. The party guest who claimed the prompt must agree to work together with you 🎩 🐭 🐰

You can claim ONE prompt and work on ONE collab at the same time.

What's a good prompt?A complete idea is best. 'Coffeeshop AU' is too broad. Something like 'Deku works in a coffee shop, and Katsuki is owner of the bakeshop next door' would be better. You can even add 'they're being illegally evicted by their unscrupulous landlord and now have to work together.'It could also be a simple one like 'BKDK wearing aprons to work' because the visual might appeal to artists, and the writers can always expand on it.

The mods will maintain TWO Master Lists of Prompts. One is GENERAL and the other is NSFW.If your prompt is explicitly sexual in nature, or contains heavy gore or other matters that require mature, critical thinking, please submit to the NSFW category.All other prompts can be submitted in the GENERAL Category. Those below 18 can only submit general prompts.

The mods will accept prompts from August 8 to November 26, 2020.

Join the Party and Claim your Prompt 🎩

To join the party, you must SIGN-UP. The mods will give you access to the Master List claim form.

You can claim ONE prompt and work on ONE collab at the same time.

How To Claim Your Prompt?
1. On the Master List claim form,
check on the box of your chosen prompt;
2. Write your name and role (artist or writer);
3. Say whether you want to collab or not by selecting either 'Interested' or 'Not Interested';
4. If you are interested in doing a collab, write your contact detail so other party guests can reach you.

How to Ask to Collab for a Prompt that’s already been claimed?
1. Talk to the Claimant first. Do NOT put your name there without them agreeing first
2. If they agree, put your name as Collab
3. Change the status as ‘Already Collaborating’.

Once you finish your gift and submit it, you can claim another prompt. Prompts can be claimed until Nov 27, 2020.
